Helping ART with Student

AAAALLLLOOOOOHHHAAA!
It's Saturday moring and Ironman has already started! We had a medical briefing yesterday with the medical coordinator and our ART director laid out some guidelines.
Here's a picture of me and a chiropractic student going over some ART gluteus moves. I really commended all the students taking ART courses before graduating from chiropractic college!
...looks like I didn't have to be at the pier at 5:30am so I did get a chance to sleep in a little and have some breakfast and off I go to Ironman.
BTW, they really emphasized not to take any pictures while we're working or they'll throw us in jail! JK, though, no pictures no exceptions when we're working. I'll see what i can do... MAHALO!

Stand Up Paddling and the Pier

Aloha!

I saw several stand up paddlers surfing the waves.... Ya talk about some good core workouts here you go.

One of my patients actually teaches this during the summer at Nimbus Lake and I say we all give this a try. I can see this is going to be quite amusing.

The bottom picture is at the pier where all the triathletes take some warm up swims. This is the starting point come Saturday, October 10th!!

Actually, in 2004 when I was volunteering, they shot off a cannon and it was so loud, i just about lost all my bodily fluids!

Active Release Techniques in Kona!!

Alooha! "Booooya!"
Here's a picture of me working on Charles from Australia. He's in his 60's and it's his 2nd Kona Ironman and 7th Ironman overall!!
It's amazing how much these athletes train and they're in fantastic shape!! I worked on several Aussies!!
Some of the tri bikes can cost as much as $10,000!! Can you say mucho bucks or what! Most of the bikes are made of carbon fiber for strength and weight reduction. Some of these bikes weigh as low as 14 lbs!!
Guess that's helpful after a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile cycle ride and 26.2 mile marathon ...as fast as you can!! NO PROBLEM...for them...

Breakfast on the patio

This was Monday, October 5th,
6:30 AM...remember the darn internet problems...I'm catching up!!
Thanks for your patience.
Kahlua and coffee...yumm...just kidding! I would never drink before I treat anyone.
Enjoying bacon, eggs, toast and fruit here. Looks like I'll be having bacon for the next several days cause I bought the grocery from Costco and they have the "feed you family of eight for two days pack". And I'm off to the Pier to treat the athletes!!

Patio VIEWS

Hi,
Here's the view from our patio...the top picture is the south view and the bottom picture is the north view. Pretty darn nice and the sunsets are marvelous!! I got everything unpacked including a groceries for most of my meals. Since I eat out often, I do enjoy eating in. :)

Thanks United!!

Hi Everyone!!

Made it safe to Kona (thanks to United Airlines) and getting settled in but the internet connection really stinks!!

There's good news and some bad ones....

Bad is the internet connection here is sporadic meaning the system can go away anytime but the good news is there's a lot of great pictures I want to share with all of you so please check it out from time to time.

Parking Lot is In!!

Hi Everyone,

The parking lot was laid down last week! Check out the photo...really cool!

It's nice to walk to the building without getting our shoes and clothes so dusty.

We recently picked out some colors for the tile floor and granite for some counter space!!

On Sunday, I volunteered some time at the Golf and Grape Gathering at the Town Center in El Dorado Hills. It was fun working on different conditions and educating people about the wonders of chiropractic and Active Release Techniques.

BTW...I will be going to the IRONMAN in Kona, Hawaii but only for a week instead of 10 days. I shorten the length because I've got so much to do in preparation for the new building!! I will be sending email RSVPs soon!!

Yours through health naturally,
Dr. Kim
